Our stance on repair
At Thistle Tech we’re very conscious about the footprint E-waste leaves behind. Often times device manufacturers charge obscene amounts that make repairing your devices hard to justify financially. As such part of our mission is to reduce the amount of e-waste being thrown out for perfectly serviceable devices. We only use trusted vendors who stand behind their parts, as much as we stand behind our work.
We also believe in consumer choice. Often repair estimates can tell you that in order to repair one damage that another must be repaired or that it would be more cost effective to replace the device. We want you to have the choice of how your device is repaired. We give you choice through every step including parts choice, damages repaired, pick up and drop off options, etc.
Lastly we believe in accountability. Every step of repair is photographed (no matter how horrifying) and if we need to unlock or access your device it is recorded or done with you present (You may request to see this information at any time.) We ensure to show you all parts that were replaced so that you know exactly what was done, and most importantly we communicate every step including an explanation of any delays or complications (should they arise)
